Eileen Davidson signs contract to return to 'The Young and the Restless' as Ashley Abbott; Leaving 'Days of our Lives' After 12-Week Story

Eileen Davidson keeps things interesting. Although the Emmy-nominated actress will return to Days of our Lives this summer as Kristin DiMera, Soap Opera Digest has revealed she has just signed a contract to return to The Young and the Restless as Ashley Abbott.

According to Davidson,"They had been reaching out for quite a while and wondering what I wanted, so the deal we made suits my life very well."

She also tells the magazine "I’m really happy. I’ve put in a lot of years in this medium, which I don’t take for granted, so I’m very grateful."

Reportedly, she will start airing as Ashley on Y&R in September, as she continues her run as Kristin on Days.
