Jennifer loses her mind when she is confronted by Nicole. |
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) visits Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), and she is out for blood. Jennifer claims she is worried about Rafe (Galen Gering) and Gabi (Camila Banus), and doesn't have time to talk with Nicole. Nicole isn't letting Jennifer go anywhere. Nicole tells Jennifer that by revealing her secret to Eric, she has destroyed everything for Eric and Nicole and the happiness they could have had together. Nicole says she could have helped Eric and would have told him the truth if given a chance. This sets Jennifer off and reminds me that her mother Laura was once institutionalized.
A seething Jennifer says that Nicole made Eric suffer for months and months, withholding the truth from him. Nicole was never going to tell Eric the truth, she was going to marry him, and then he couldn't ever become a priest again! As soon as Jennifer learned the truth, she had to say something! Jennifer continues, telling Nicole how much Daniel has been hurt by everything that Nicole has done. He is such a compassionate and giving man and Nicole has manipulated him and made him lie for her, which is against his nature. Venomous lines from Jennifer to Nicole include: "If it hadn't been for me, he (Eric) would never have known the truth!" “And how many chances did Daniel give you, 2, 2 dozen, from what I overheard in that hotel room, I mean you have really had so many chances, you have broken so many promises!" “It is so sick what you are doing to him!" (Daniel). "Stop doing what you always do. You need to face reality, you lied to Eric and the truth came out, you made your bed, now go lie in it!"
Her phone rings, and it is Daniel. Daniel (Shawn Christian) wants to see Jennifer right away. He doesn't seem happy with her, but she doesn't notice it. Daniel learned from Eric (Greg Vaughn) that it was Jennifer who revealed the truth to Eric. When the door rings, Jennifer goes running, but finds Eric, instead of Daniel.
Meanwhile, Nicole throws her belongings around in her hotel room and is despondent. But she isn't ready to give up. She shows up at Daniel's apartment, and slaps him!
At the prison, Gabi tells Abby (Kate Mansi) she always wanted to be a good friend to her, but hasn't been. She reveals she hired Andrew, the man that was "stalking," her. Abby is confused. Gabi reminds Abby she was suspicious of her in the past, and that she betrayed Melanie (ex-Molly Burnett) and she betrayed Abby. Abby can’t believe it, but realizes that everything that happened was Gabi's fault. Gabi says she didn't know Andrew was crazy, but blames herself for being in this position that she is in now. Abby wonders if Melanie knows and Gabi says that is why she left Salem. Abby feels betrayed and has more questions, but Gabi is taken away before she can answer them. Abby is in pain. We still don't know if 'Midol Complete' was able to help her cramps and bloating.
Bev (Allison Paige) has a new plan to cause problems for JJ (Casey Moss) and Paige (True O'Brien). She meets up with Cole (Riley Bodenstab) who is out of prison and needs money. She offers him some, if he agrees to plant drugs on Paige. Bev gets JJ alone, and casually mentions that she has heard Paige is a "party girl."
Cole spills coffee on Paige so he can have some alone time with her purse, but she catches him in the act. She tells JJ what has happened, and JJ and Cole fight, knocking out JJ.
Kate (Lauren Koslow) feels bad that she didn't know what was going on with Gabi when she was away. Will reminds her that the situation isn't about her, but Kate is genuinely worried about Gabi. Will worries how people will react to Ari's mother being in prison, and having two dads.
Kate visits Gabi in prison and is extremely nice to her, offering her advice. Gabi tells Kate she wouldn't have ever let Will go to prison for what she did, and promises she won't implicate Kate and Sami (Alison Sweeney) in anything that has happened. Kate understands why Gabi killed Nick (Blake Berris). Kate tells Gabi, "A mother will do anything to protect her children, including murder."
Gabi's eyes are filled with tears as she is comforted by Kate, and once again I am reminded how good of an actress Camila Banus is. Kate promises Gabi that Sonny and Will are going to take care of Ari, as will Kate. “My promise to you, my promise to you is that every time I see that little girl, l I'm going to tell her how much her mommy loves her, OK? And when she is old enough I will explain things, because she will know that her mother loved her so much that she was willing to sacrifice everything to make sure her little girl was safe.” Lauren Koslow is simply amazing in these scenes.
At home, Sonny and Will vow they are going to make a great life for Ari When the baby cries, both Will and Sonny say "Daddy's here." They smile, kiss, and tend to Ari. Simple scenes like this are groundbreaking.
Performer of the Day: Lauren Koslow as Kate Roberts. She was truly breathtaking while comforting Gabi, with tears running down her face. Days is very lucky to have her.
Line of the Day: Nicole to Jennifer: “What is the matter with you, didn’t you hear what I said? You are not going anywhere. Do you have any idea how much I hate you right now? I will never forgive you Jennifer, never!” (I think she speaks for most people)
Strangest Line of the Day: Paige to her old friend: "Hey Stacy, where have you been girl?” (When did Paige develop a personality?
Most Self-Involved Person of the Day: Abby Deveraux. She felt betrayed by Gabi, but didn't even think about how Gabi's machinations indirectly caused Jack's (ex-Matthew Ashford) death.
Clifftwister of the Day: Is Daniel ready for Nicole's wrath?
