Daniel (Shawn Christian) asks Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) if she really believes he wouldn't have told Eric the truth about Nicole. Jennifer says she honestly believes if she didn’t tell Eric the truth, that he never would have found out. Daniel is shocked, but Jennifer says Daniel kept giving Nicole chances and that Nicole always finds a way to manipulate him Daniel wonders if Jennifer doesn't trust him enough to tell the truth. Jennifer says she does, but he has lied for Nicole before. It's a pattern with him, he doesn't like to lie, but he does it if he feels it's for a good enough reason. Jennifer continues on with her tirade claiming Nicole is manipulating Daniel, and that is another pattern and she is using her desperation to get Daniel to do things he wouldn't normally do. Jennifer says that Nicole hasn't changed and he doesn't realize the hold she has on him. Daniel asks Jennifer if she thinks he is in love with Nicole, but Jennifer says of course she doesn't think that. Seriously Daniel, it would never occur to Jennifer that a man
would want someone that wasn't her. Daniel says Jennifer must think he immoral, if she thinks he wouldn't have told Eric. Jennifer tells Daniel she loves him, but he says he felt she knew him so well and now it seems she doesn't know him at all. He thinks it means that he doesn’t know her either. Jennifer begs Daniel not to leave, but he storms out. I guess Daniel is starting to understand what it's like being involved with Jennifer Horton!

Nicole (Arianne Zucker) wants to be alone with Eric (Greg Vaughn) at the Pub to talk about their future, but Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Sami (Alison Sweeney) have arrived to see Eric. Sami is upset when she learns Marlena knew that Eric and Nicole were going to elope, but she wasn't told. Eric says he and Nicole aren't going to be together, and doesn't want any gloating or smiling from Sami and Marlena. He isn't ready to talk about what has happened, and they leave so Eric and Nicole can be alone.
Nicole needs Eric to listen to her, but he is finished listening. He says they are over, but Nicole wonders if being a man of God is so important to him, than he must have some forgiveness in his heart. He can’t believe she is throwing God in his face. Nicole says God threw everything in her face! She did everything he wanted! Eric says their love was based on a lie, but Nicole wonders if God didn’t want them to be together, why did he make it so hard for her to tell Eric the truth. She tells Eric she forgave him when he accused her of raping him, and it wasn't because she wanted something, but she knew he needed it, just like she needs it from him. Eric says he can forgive her, but he can’t forget what Nicole taught him about the kind of person she is. He walks out on her, and Nicole breaks into tears again.
Marlena believes she knows why Sami is so gleeful about Eric’s situation. It isn't because she is concerned about Eric, but Sami thinks it will distract Marlena from her knowing what Sami did to Nick (ex-Blake Berris) in the river. Marlena informs Sami she isn't going to forget, and she is leaving because she has patients to see. It gets worse for Sami when she sees EJ (James Scott). Although she is
thrilled that Eric broke up with Nicole, she is informed by EJ that Kate (Lauren Koslow) was lying
about being out of town on business. Kate was actually with Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) and now she is out to stop Sami and EJ from getting married. Sami is worried, but EJ promises that nothing will stop their wedding from happening.
Gabi (Camila Banus) is visited by Jordan (Christelle Strauss) and later T (Brenden Caughlin). Gabi fears Jordan will change the way she thinks about Rafe (Galen Gering) because of what Gabi did. She says that Rafe is the best brother anyone could have and she doesn't want him to be alone. She pleads with Jordan to look out for Rafe and email her and let her know how he is doing while she is in prison. Jordan says she will, and that she wouldn't ever judge Gabi or Rafe. She better not, considering all of her secrets. Gabi is really happy to see "T" and appreciates his friendship. He wishes he had known what had been going on in her life, and Gabi says she wishes things had been different between them. She knows if Nick hadn't shown up, they would have ended up together. They share a sweet goodbye.
Just as JJ (Casey Moss) and Paige (True O'Brien) are going at it, the phone rings and it's Paige's mother. At first to create drama we are given the impression her mom is arriving home, but then we learn that she is actually coming home this week. Paige
says that her mother hasn't been in Salem yet, and Paige came to Salem ahead of time to stay
with her Dad’s cousin. Paige says she is older and gorgeous, but her mom thinks she isn't the best influence on her. JJ wonders if Paige has told her mother about him, and she promises she has, but she hasn't told her everything about his past. Paige wants her mom to see the wonderful JJ that she knows. Paige had a
really great time with JJ, but things went faster than she is used to. However, she doesn't know if she can control herself when she is around him. Settle down girl! JJ understands and says they can take things slowly. They both feel lucky and hold hands. JJ leaves for the night, but it's clear he needs a cold shower. Hopefully he doesn't run into Jennifer!
Performer of the Day: Arianne Zucker as Nicole Walker. Even when Nicole is completely wrong, Zucker still manages to convey that Nicole really believes she IS right. She is a treasure.
Lines of the Day: After Sami tells Nicole she is confused about the Eric and Nicole situation, Nicole tells Sami.“That’s a permanent state of
being for you, you should learn to live with it.”
Marlena to Sami: “I have Patients to see. Patients are people who have problems and know they have problems, so they are looking for help and they understand that running away from your troubles NEVER work!" (Doc was quite sassy!)
Nicole to Eric: "You accused me of raping you! And people have said some terrible things about me, and probably most of it was true. But this, this was violent and painful, and it killed me, it killed me that you thought that of me.”

Strangest Line of the Day: Jordan to Rafe: "Maybe
Nick treated people so badly because deep down he wanted someone to put him out
of his misery.” I wish Julie (Susan Hayes) heard that!
Clifftwister of the Day: Who is Paige's Mother?
