The title of the upcoming action-drama The Frankenstein Code has changed to Lookinglass . The show will premiere in 2016 on FOX. A disgraced, 75-year-old ex-sheriff, whose life ends at the hands of corrupt cops, is brought back to life and given a second chance by a pair of young tech scientists, as a 35-year-old (Rob Kazinsky, True Blood ) with unpredictable near-superhuman abilities.

Cast from the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars and Stitchers , and highly anticipated saga series Shadowhunters will appear at New York Comic Con on October 9-10. All three series will present fans with the opportunity to see exclusive footage from the upcoming season, as well as experience a Q&A with the series' casts and creators. The ABC Family booth will feature talent appearances, giveaways, and other activities and activations. Virginia Vestoff as Dr. Althea Davis on The Doctors . There's little on TV that brings me more enjoyment than the two half-hour episodes of classic daytime soap opera The Doctors that air on Retro TV each weekday. It is current October 1969 at Hope Memorial Hospital, and we already know what is going to happen over the next 13 years until the show ended on December 31, 1982. So why was I so upset when the announcer started Wednesday's second episode with, "The part of Althea Davis is being played by Virginia Vestoff"? I knew it was coming, but this recast was quite jarring nonetheless. I didn't realize how dramatically different Vestoff looked compared to her predecessor, Elizabeth Hubbard, one of the best actors to ever appear in a daytime drama. In the middle of their critically acclaimed third years, including an Emmy nomination for Ray Donovan star Liev Schreiber, Showtime has announced that it will pick up both of its hit dramas, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex for fourth seasons. The announcement was made by David Nevins, President, Showtime Networks Inc. Both series will receive 12 one-hour episodes and will begin production in 2016. "Both Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex are signature series for SHOWTIME," said Nevins. "They are emblematic of what Showtime stands for - quality, premium programming that you cannot find anywhere else on television. We're so proud to continue offering both series across all our platforms."

Patti Smith's much sought after memoir, "Just Kids," has landed at Showtime. Co-written and produced by Patti Smith and three-time Academy Award nominee John Logan, the memoir will be developed into a Showtime limited series, to be produced with Logan's Desert Wolf Productions. "'Just Kids' is one of my favorite memoirs of all time," said David Nevins, President of Showtime Networks Inc. The epic storytelling of Disney's The Lion King continues with The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar , a primetime television movie event premiering in November on Disney Channel. The movie follows Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. The movie is a precursor to "The Lion Guard" television series, premiering in early 2016 on Disney Channels and Disney Junior channels around the globe. Syfy has announced that it will develop Frederik Pohl's Hugo and Nebula Award-winning novel Gateway about humanity's encounter with a mysterious, ancient alien civilization as a one-hour scripted series with Entertainment One Television (eOne) and Universal Cable Productions (UCP). eOne will distribute the series worldwide. David Eick (Battlestar Galactica) and Josh Pate (Falling Skies) collaborated on the adaptation and will serve as executive producers on the series. Eick will revise a pilot script written by Pate and serve as showrunner. The series will also be executive produced by Martha De Laurentiis through the De Laurentiis Company, former eOne Television executive Michael Rosenberg, and Lorenzo De Maio. eOne Television's Gerard Bocaccio, SVP US Scripted Development, will oversee the project for the studio.

Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End, one of the most-acclaimed science fiction novels of all time, will come to life in the first-ever adaptation beginning December 14 on Syfy. This six-hour television event from Syfy and Universal Cable Productions will air over three consecutive nights on Monday, December 14, Tuesday, December 15 and Wednesday, December 16 from 8-10PM (ET/PT). Syfy's highly anticipated space thriller The Expanse will launch with a two-night premiere Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 15 at 10PM (ET/PT). The epic drama from Alcon TV is based on the international best-selling book series of the same name and will regularly air on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET for the remainder of its 10-episode first season.
