Scott Wolf will star in Meet My Valentine on ION Television. |
With the addition of Meet My Valentine, ION Television looks to build on the success of its original holiday movie programming, which reached 30 million people and averaged 866,000 total viewers per airing in 2013. ION also recently announced five all-new original holiday movies airing in 2014, boosting its festive movie catalog to over two dozen titles.
"We're excited to extend ION's original movie offerings beyond the holiday season and expand upon our commitment to fans,” said Brandon Burgess, Chairman and CEO of ION Media Networks. "ION has established itself as a prime destination for original movies, and Meet My Valentine is a fitting addition to our growing lineup."
In Meet My Valentine, Tom (Wolf) pulls out all the stops to take care of the two women in his life: his 8-year-old daughter, Phoebe, and his wife, Valentine (Ford), before confiding in her that he only has months to live. In tying up loose ends for his beloved spouse, Tom thinks of everything, even embarking upon an audition process to find his most worthy successor. Throughout the ordeal, Tom quickly realizes that he doesn't know much about her anymore, but soon finds himself falling in love again with Valentine like it was the very first time.
Meet My Valentine is produced by MarVista Entertainment and directed by Brian Herzlinger, who serves as co-writer with Jay Black. Meet My Valentine is based on a story from Brady Smith, who also stars in the movie alongside Jay Black, Kristen Miller and David Leisure.
