CBS continues a trend of cross promoting its daytime shows when four recent additions to the cast of The Young and the Restless appear on The Talk. Actors Scott Elrod, Justin Hartley, Burgess Jenkins and Emmy winner Gina Tognoni will visit the talk show on Friday, October 24.

Jenkins took over the role of Billy Abbott on the soap in June. Tognoni debuted as the new Phyllis Summers Newman in August. Elrod first appeared at the end of September as Avery's ex, Joe Clark. Hartley is scheduled to debut in the role of Adam Newman on November 5.

The Talk is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. The October 24 episode will include news anchor Pat Harvey of KCBS-TV, Los Angeles as guest co-host; Neil Patrick Harris discussing his new autobiography; and chef Reed Alexander, who cooks a rustic roasted chicken dinner.

First Thoughts on Guy Wilson as the New Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Guy Wilson debuted as the new Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. "You're not gonna believe this!" That was actor Guy Wilson's first line in his debut as the new Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Well, believe it! Over the years many relative unknown thespians, who later turned out to be excellent actors, even Emmy winners, made their daytime soap opera debuts and looked like stiffs. This is a different medium, with a lot of dialogue to memorize, where getting it right on the first take is desired. It's understandable if a new actor in a daytime drama takes not just one, but several episodes to settle in. It's happened time and again so I give them a pass. Luckily, Wilson doesn't need one. He performed like a seasoned pro on Day One.
