Hallmark Movie 'Recipe for Love' Premieres Tonight, Stars Danielle Panabaker, Shawn Roberts

Hallmark Channel Original Movie Recipe for Love premieres on Saturday, October 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The film stars Danielle Panabaker (The Shunning, Justified) and Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil: Afterlife).

Panabaker and Roberts star alongside Pascale Hutton (Artic Air, When Calls The Heart) and Amos Mitchell (The Trainer) in the film, which follows the story of an unlikely pair who are forced to work together in the kitchen and end up combining all the right ingredients for a promising new relationship. The culinary romance also features guest star Peter DeLuise, who plays himself as a celebrity judge to a heated cooking competition.

Lauren Hennessey (Panabaker) has always loved to cook and is a proud perfectionist at her job at Food & Entertainment Magazine's test kitchen while she dreams of being able to finally afford culinary school in Paris. When her boss offers her a bonus if she agrees to ghostwrite the cookbook of a difficult celebrity chef, Lauren sees her dream becoming a reality-as soon as she can tame the notorious bad boy chef in question, Dexter Durant (Roberts). The edgy host of his own cooking show, Dexter has a reputation of being reckless and stubborn and immediately clashes with Lauren on the project, preferring to keep his recipes-and his personal life-private. Despite the warnings of her older sister Nan (Hutton), Lauren refuses to give up, attempting to conquer each of Dexter's dishes with precision. Slowly peeling back the layers of Dexter's tough-guy persona, she starts seeing a different, vulnerable side to this big-shot chef. Suddenly, their dueling culinary styles become the perfect complement in the kitchen and an attraction between them starts to boil over.

With their unpredictable new romance heating up, Lauren tries to save Dexter's sinking career by getting him to open himself up to a different kind of cookbook, while simultaneously shutting down Gio (Mitchell), a scheming young chef coveting Dexter's time slot. As the cookbook nears completion, Dexter and Gio must face off in a final cook-off, judged by celebrity Peter DeLuise (as himself), and Lauren and Dexter finally discover the best way to write a recipe is to cook from the heart.

Kicking things off is a video interview from March 2010 with Emmy-nominated Edge of Night actor Larkin Malloy, who passed away in 2016. The interview was conducted by Nelson Aspen as part of his "Where Are They Now Tour" series for We Love Soaps . Malloy, who came in at #45 on the We Love Soaps 50 Greatest Soap Actors of All Time list, played Sky Whitney on Edge of Night , Kyle Sampson on Guiding Light , Travis Montgomery on All My Children and Clay Alden on Loving .
