'Days Of Our Lives Recap: June 4, 2014 (Wednesday) - Salem reacts to Gabi's arrest, Hope and Aidan grow closer, and Abby and Paige bond over Cramps and Bloating.

Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, May 14, 2014:

Will comforts a suffering Gabi

Abby (Kate Mansi) was rude to Paige (True O'Brien) who was not only upset about Gabi, but was also suffering from cramps and bloating. Abby and Paige (True O'Brien) bonded when Paige completely understood and offered her some 'Midol Complete.' Abby was very relieved and hoped that the pain would soon subside.

Rafe (Galen Gerring) was a complete mess. He feels he let Gabi (Camila Banus) down and should have been there for her when she needed him. Gabi told Rafe she was taking responsibility for her actions and she wouldn't let him blame himself. He has been a great brother to her. However, Gabi couldn't deal with speaking to her brother Dario (Ex- Francisco San Martin) and her mother and asked Rafe to tell them what happened. Jordan (Cristelle Strauss) tried to comfort Rafe, but he obsessed over his previously telling his dying sister Arianna (Ex-Lindsay Hartley)that he would protect Gabi, which he wasn't able to do. He called his mother to tell her about Gabi's arrest, who was crying so much that Rafe said he couldn't understand her. However, it doesn't seem as though she had any plans to visit Salem to be there for her daughter. Jordan vowed to be there for Rafe.

Brady (Eric Martsolf) punched John (Drake Hogestyn) out when he wouldn't stay out of his business with Theresa (Jen Liley). Hope (Kristian Alfonso) stopped the fight and then threatened to haul them both down to the station. Later, Brady told Theresa he felt bad for what Rafe was going through and remembered their friendship. Theresa seemed confused who Rafe was at first and then realized he was was once married to Sami (Alison Sweeney). Brady left a voice mail for Rafe to offer his condolences about Gabi, but he recognized his message didn't make any sense. The drugs are hurting him! Theresa lured Brady to the dark side again by offering him more drugs.

Hope was having a really hard time dealing with all of the pain in her life. She didn't know how she was going to call Julie and Maggie with the news about Gabi, and later Aidan (Daniel Cosgrove) overheard her talking out loud to Bo's (Ex- Peter Reckell) picture about everything she is going through. Hope told Aidan she wanted to believe so badly that Nick (Ex Blake Berris) had changed and was ok, but she was wrong. Hope became angry at Aidan when he told her he knew her better than she thinks and that she is a good person. Hope doesn't think he knows her at all. Aidan said that he misjudged her in the past but got to know her and knows what a good and decent person she is. Aidan brought a smile to Hope's face.

JJ (Casey Moss) warned Bev (Allison Paige) to stop causing problems for his new relationship with Paige. Later, Bev received a call from a mystery person, excited to tell all about the "new and improved," JJ Deveraux. JJ told Abby he should have been around for Sonny (Freddy Smith) and Will (Guy Wilson) and was going to help them now with the baby. After Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Jordan had another conversation about their past which revealed nothing, Paige saw Ben at Sonny and Will's and finally remembered she recognized him from Miami.

Will visited Gabi at the Police Station and told her he still thought of her as his best friend. Gabi and Will remembered when they first met when Sydney was missing, and Will said he always knew what a good person she was. He promised Gabi he and Sonny would never let Ari forget Gabi. Gabi told Will she never would have let Will take the blame for Nick's murder. Gabi is happy that Ari has Sonny and Will. As the show came to a close, Abby came to visit Gabi, and it seemed as though Gabi was finally going to tell Abby the truth about her prior misdeeds.

Performer of the Day: (tie) Camila Banus as Gabi Hernandez and Kristian Alfonso as Hope Brady. Banus has improved so much over the years and she cried and cried through the whole episode. I felt Gabi's pain. Alfonso is always on point. She was especially good today breaking down over Bo's continued absence and her inability to control anything that is going on in her life. When Aidan was able to make Hope smile, I smiled. Thank You Kristian Alfonso.

Line of the Day (tie): Hope and Abby

Hope (looking at Bo's picture on her phone) "How am I supposed to get through this without you to talk to? How am I supposed to explain this to Ciara? What do I say to your Mom? Where the hell are you Brady? What could be more important than your family?" I would ask Ken Corday that question, Hope.

Abby: "I have cramps, and I'm bloated, and it's really bugging me."

Surprise of the day: Theresa decided to call her parents Kim (Patsy Pease) and Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) and tell them about Will.

Biggest question of the day: Why do Rafe and Gabi accept that their mother doesn't ever visit?
